Announce in ascending order and leave time for photos between prizes. For large crowds, slot performances or speeches between draws to let the rhythm breathe.

How to split prizes and budget

Set the total budget first, then slice it — never the reverse. A proven split: 30–40% on the grand prize, ~30% across 2–3 second prizes, and everything else as participation prizes so nobody leaves empty-handed. Keep a bonus reserve for live announcements.

Gift cards beat odd small appliances for participation prizes. The grand prize needs one item that makes people scream (flight tickets, flagship phone, cash). On a tight budget, keep one strong grand prize instead of two mediocre ones.

Fairness rules that prevent disputes

Ninety percent of disputes come from unannounced rules: publish the list for review beforehand, remove winners from later rounds, state proxy rules up front, and clarify whether absentees keep eligibility. Project the draw live so anyone can audit it.

Freeze the list the day before. Late additions go to a separate bonus round instead of being squeezed into the main draw. Screenshot the winners wall on the spot — photos end all arguments.
